EGR Blanking, is it recommended or not.

yon XUV Crosswind A/T 2009 ko po ay may EGR, 4JA1 Turbo Charge... EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation), some exhaust gas from combustion chamber ay ibinabalik po uli inside combustion chamber thru EGR valve controlled with EGR Electric Vacuum Regulator to Intake manifold, then yon po ibang exhaust gas ay diretso na sa turbine ng turbo palabas papuntang tambutso, ibig ko pong sabihin na yon "some" exhaust gas na galing combustion chamber na bago pa pumasok sa Turbo ay bumabalik uli sa Intake manifold via EGR valve na humahalo uli sa fresh mix of air and fuel papuntang combustion chamber, then yon pong trabaho ng EGR vacuum regulator ay to keep EGR at open/close position depende po sa RPM/Speed ng sasakyan.

Yon po na sinasabi nyo na waste gate to control exhaust gas to turbine ay ibang set-up, bale yon exhaust gas na dapat ay sa Turbo lahat dadaan ay meron siya na waste gate flap na mag-open upang yon ibang exhaust gas ay mag by-pass na sa Turbine ng turbo diretso na sa Catalytic Converter or Tambutso.

EGR - exhaust gas na bago dumating sa turbine/turbo ay binabalik inside combustion chamber thru EGR valve.
Waste Gate - exhaust gas ay bina-bypass yon turbine/turbo diretso na sa catalytic converter or tambutso.
yan po ang pagkakaalam ko sa EGR at Waste Gate.

tama po. yan din pagka intindi ko.kaya ko natanong kasi yung early 4ja1 walang ecu yun.egr ay to control amount of NOx emossion. normally egr ay activated in lower rpm as in the case of tucson.by the way ano na ba ang type ng fuel injection pump ng crosswind ngayon, yun pa rin rotary ba?

WHY are you idling the vehicle for that long?

All you're doing is exposing your household to carbon monoxide and diesel fumes, and ruining your engine by diluting the oil with unburned diesel and gunking up your EGR valve...

The only time you should EVER be idling your vehicle is when cooling down the turbo after a hard workout. And not for anywhere near that long.

Mine I have it Blanked my Unit is MUX 2.5 AT at 5000 Kms I have it blanked at Team ICE . so far mas ok cya gumanda ang hatak

With your having to idle that long, whether your EGR is blanked or not, it is bad for the engine (and not to mention the environment).

Main reason people blank their EGR is to prevent soot/sludge build up in the egr and intake manifolds ..... But this build up takes years to accumulate ... Also isuzu engines aren't notorious for sludge problems. Bago pa MUX no hurry for an egr blank. Read more about then decide wether to do it or not.

Sir not to ba a scare monger but soot does build up quickly at least in my case. 14 thousand kms from new 2012 montero. That is more or less a year of driving for me pag bukas ng egr meron nang significant build but not enough to throw a code. Used to gas up with petron diesel max then. Now it's unioil or shell fuel save.

Sir referring to soot build up in the egr valve of crdi engines. But I agree sa intake manifold assuming well maintained hinde ganun kabilis.dumumi
