    Situations like this often result to impulsive decision-making.... opting to look for cheaper means to "solve" the problem.

    Don't self medicate nor guess. I would suggest you bring it to an authorized ISUZU dealer so they can use the Tech 2 to determine what's wrong. Take it from there after finding out what's wrong. Keep us posted.

    OT topic..

    Just sharing my experience on the alterra unit that we got and how we are not so happy on how isuzu service handling the issue ...

    My email contains the SCV issue on our alterra, 1st replacement was when it was at 32k. then every year, the scv needed to be replaced again and again... and this is already an unusual issue as the alterra is casa maintained eversince. It is understandable that every 30k - 40k PMS there are major parts to be replace for wear and tear, im not just satisfied that the scv we got from isuzu needed to be replace yearly after it broke for for the 1st time last 2009 and being replace on 2010 and 2011 and pay for it every year.

    Anyways, Have you tried sending email to isuzuphil.com via their website or using their customer relations email address? i have tried 2 times already, and according to the customer relations, they have not recevied any of my email. I verified this as i just called their customer relations number posted to their website an hour before i post this message.

    The customer relations officer just gave me her personal email address instead so that i could forward to them my formal email complaint and requested a meeting with the upper management to decide on the issue.

    Problem Solved:

    The problem was the SCV.. Well, nakuha pa sa linis kaya nilinisan lang nila and there you go, so far so good naman.. Ang advice sa akin ng mekaniko eh ipalinis ang SCV every 20k PMS para daw masave or magamit ng mas matagal yun SCV(kapag madumi ang SCV nagiging magasto din daw sa Diesel ang sasakyan natin).. At kapag magpapalinis ng SCV, automatic kasama na ding ipacheck ang Fuel Filter.. ^_^

    Next na problem ko naman:

    Nung last na punta ko ng CASA hinigpitan yung Fan Belt ko kaso napansin ko ngaun may maingay na na tunog sa harap ng Engine.. Parang umi-it-it na hindi ko maintindihan.. Saka problema ko din yung sa right front wheel ko.. May maingay na parang naiipit na parang sa Disc Brake galing.. Ipapalinis ko siguro bukas kung may time..

    Isa pa ay yung shock absorber ko may tagas na.. Pinag-iisipan ko kung ipapapalit ko sa ISUZU kasi under warranty pa or bibili na lang ako ng bago. Kinausap ko kasi ung CASA dito sa probinsya, pwede daw palitan pero order pa at baka abutin daw ng mga 2 months. Ang suggestion nila eh ipunta ko na lang sa CASA kung saan ko binili which is sa ISUZU Manila kaso hassle naman na masyado yun kapag ganun tapos dagdag gasto pa.. Hay! Ano kaya mainam Guys?

Sa totoo lang sir manipis na liha at gasolina lang ang panlinis okay na tapos bugahan lang ng high pressure na hangin.. Wala pa ngang 5 minutes eh.. Yung pagbaklas at pagbalik lang ang magpapatagal.. Yung sa akin nga 2008 4x4 model 65k ODO na saka ko lang napansin yung sa SCV nya.
    Sana sir maging okay ang resulta ng complain nyo sa Isuzu.. Medyo may kahirapan lang kasi talaga makipagusap sa kanila kapag mga ganyang issue.. Ang madali lang sa kanila eh kapag bibili ka..Or in short eh kapag magpapasok ka ng pera sa kanila.. ^_^

    If you have warranty all you need to do is use it to the max. Demand the best service from the casa or if you're satisfied with their service, you can always speAk with the manager or escalate to the next higher up guy. You paid for it already so take advantage of what you have.

    According to Isuzu alabang service, the SCV is detected by their analyzer and was categorize to be malfunctioning, but anyways. 1 Question now that i asked them is that how come it take 4 years before the original SCV be problematic. And when it was replaced by the Casa, it only took 1 year for the part to be wore down again, then another 10months for the replaced to be replaced again (this are all casa supplied parts).. Unless there has been some Anomalies inside the Isuzu Casa where i had the car serviced.

    Just an FYI, isuzuphils corporate Email is useless as my emails are not received after I sent it last week. Instead she gave me her personal email address instead. Now, Im waiting for this week for their customer service at the head office to call me for the meeting schedule that i have requested with their management regarding my formal complaint.

    I'll keep this site posted for their updates. Isuzu is a good brand, there are just some people inside the company that is making the company look bad by purposely providing bad service to clients like myself.

    Sir ganun naman talaga eh.. Syempre may problema nga yung SCV kaya nagmalfunction pero hindi naman ibig sabihin palitan agad.. BTW sir nakita nyo ba talaga na pinalitan nila yung SCV? Ibinigay ba sa'yo yung pinagpalitan na SCV nyo at ipinakita muna ba sa inyo yung bagong SCV na sinasabi bago ikabit? Minsan kasi talaga sir may Magic sa loob ng CASA. Ako mismo alam ko ito. Agree din naman ako sa'yo Sir na okay ang ISUZU talaga, nagkataon lang na may mga employee sila na may mga bulok na gawain.. Well, halos lahat naman ng mga CASA may mga ganyang empleyado eh.. Kaya ako, mas gusto ko talaga sa CASA na pwede akong pumasok mismo sa Work Area nila para makita ko mismo ang ginagawa nila sa Terry ko.. So far, mababait naman ang mga nakakausap ko na nag-a-assist sa akin(Liban lang sa isa inside Metro Manila-hindi ko na lang babanggitin kung saan) kaya mas prefer ko sa mga provincial CASA's kesa dyan sa Metro Manila.

    Sana sir maging okay ang result ng reklamo mo sa ISUZU.. Balitaan nyo ho ako kami dito para naman magsilbing gabay sa mga kapwa ka-alterra natin..

    Isuzu service quality will vary greatly from dealer to dealer. I have found Isuzu service in Cagayan De Oro (N. Mindanao)to be exceptional....better than many auto dealers I have used in the USA. They are usually accurate and correct with their diagnose and parts replacement. The parts inventory could be better, but so far has not affected me personally.

    I observe that most isuzu service complaints involve minor and random issues that appear to went undected by Isuzu service technicians. I have looked at some of the Mitsubishi owners and their service complaints on this Tiskot board, and the complaints are major indeed. Overall, a majority of Isuzu owners appear to be happy with vehicle reliability.
