glock, this is the only pics i have so far of the seat covers. i'll try to get a pic of the rear cupholder soonest. i had it made in beige and grey to match the interiors. can't get the exact shade but i think it's close enough. pardon the quality, this was taken under the shade with my mobile phone hence the shadows. i'll also try to post better pics soon.

incidentally, i just ordered chrome side mirror and door handle covers from kspec. i expect to have it in about two weeks

Gas consumption isn't that bad. I averaged between 7 to 8 km per liter. During the first 1k. I expect that its consumption would further improve once it rakes in additional mileage.
same here. i average around 7 to 9 km/L with my automatic. you can get more fuel saving tips from driving habits to nitrogen on your tires from the tucson message board i posted.

parang mas good deal yung matrix it's almost 30% cheaper and has a better engine. di naman gaanong mataas yung ground clearance nung tucson compared sa matrix.
If you tried test driving it, you would be pleasantly surprised by the linear acceleration and very responsive engine. It is also very quiet, almost unlike a typical diesel.

i don't doubt that the engine is great. i was merely pointing out that the matrix has a better engine. everyone is waiting for the tucson 2.0L CRDi to get the variable geometry turbo as well, so it's pretty much no argument that the VGT-equipped matrix 1.5L diesel is the bette engine.

One thing that impressed my friends it the quiet engine. Once I even started it again forgetting that the engine was already running. I've tried the diesel as well and it's almost the same. Another is the virtually smooth transmission. You hardly notice which gear you're in unless you shift to sports mode to take a peek.

Funny thing happened today on my morning drive to work along Edsa. Another Tucson exactly the same as mine drove up to my side in front of Nepa-Q-Mart and we drove side by side up until Ortigas. We parted somewhere along Emerald Ave. It was like, hey we have exactly the same car. The only diff was the DLSU sticker at the rear window

If you want to match it with the interiors, ask Jannine or any of the staff to show you the swatches of the seat cover that was picked up last Friday (Feb 10). It took us quite a while to choose which colors came closest to the interiors. Remember, I was able to haggled from 3,500 to 2,800. If ever they give you a better deal, don't let me know hehe. I came back for it after two days.

palagay ko matagal pa dalhin yung VGT version ng tucson sa pinas. last year mga august pa lumabas sa korea yung sa sorrento.i came back september last year, pero wala pang vgt version ang tucson dun sa korea. meanwhile, let's all enjoy na lang muna. with the crdi engine of the current tucson, i see no need for turbo or 4x4, oks na sa akin ang power nito.
