Kamusta naman yung maintenance costs of owning a Santa Fe? I am really leaning towards it na talaga given all the research I made. Our target date to buy is mid November latest is December definitely this year.

Hmm... thats not really that bad, just a bit more expensive than a Civic. All right that seems very good thanks for the quick response.

I am not happy lately sa Fuel Consumption ng SF ko.
April 2008, we drove to Tagudin, Full Load and High Speed Driving (papunta sa Ilocos. Pabalik Manila, average speed na lang). Walang refuel sa entire round trip. My Average FC was 13+kms/Liter.
September 28 and October 19, my family and I drove to Subic via NLEX and SCTEx. This is 95% Expressway driving. Average FC: 10kms/L. My average speed sa entire trip 130kph at 2500RPM.
Lately sa pure City Driving - Manila to Makati (Less than 6km Round Trip), anak ng pating - 5 to 6kms/Liter na lang and marahan na ako mag drive nyan to achieve the best fuel economy. Dati rati nasa 7 to 8 ako on pure city driving din.
Nong nagbyahe kami sa Ilocos, Delco Mineral Oil lang ang gamit ko and that was the FC.
June 2008 was when I had my 10k PMS and don ako nagpalagay ng Motul CRDI Specific Fully Synthetic Oil. What gives kaya?

Lagi ba kayong puno at mabigat pag nag lo-long trips?

I check tire pressure monthly. And ung september and october tire pressure check ko, di naman nagbabago ung 30psi Pressure.

my FC has been consistent to 8km/liter ever since. all-city. i'm just using regular diesel oil from CASA.

I drive on "D" palagi. And pag nasa D, it shifts naman when rpm reaches 2kRPM. So, I think that this consistently follows the 2k RPM rule.
Yours may be better kasi your daily city drive may be longer than mine.
When I bring my SF to office, tantsa ko nasa 12kms lang to and from office.
I have observed that I have better FC when I drive longer, say, may trips to other parts of the Metro on weekends.
My baseline of my City Drive is the daily travel I make to and from office.
This usually reaches 7 to 8kms/L before. Lately, mga 5 to 6kms/L na lang eh.

By the way it does not say on the brochure I got nor the website, but out of curiosity does the Santa Fe (4X2) have side turn lamps at the side mirrors kinda like the 3rd gen CRV?
As expected, in response to Tesla’s entry into the Philippines market, Ford will be bringing in the...
