*oldblue: Pag sound ng engine pinagbasehan mo, you will be wasting a lot of diesel. Why? the interior of the car is very well insulated that the engine's noise doesn't radiate in that much so its hard to tell.
upshifting should be at 1,800rpm, i only hear the engine's purr only when its at 3,500rpm so if you shift at that, malakas talaga sa diesel, you'll be saving more with auto mode.

question sir do you let go of the accelerator when you shift sa sta fe. sa strada manual trans ko kasi yan nakasanayan ko.
can't help. this car is really fast lalo na pag 11pm onwards na sa highway.

Thanks guys.

HID? per manual specs, alam ko HID na'to ah. or maybe I'm wrong coz I really never paid attention to these specs. even up to now, hindi ko alam kung naka-immobilizer ba ito santa fe natin dito ...
regarding IPOD link naman, naku madugo yan papabaklas mo sa 3rd party yun built-in stereo in aluminum ng santa fe. titiis na lang ako sa iTrip.

just came back from a 2-day trip to tagaytay, and ofcourse, with stafe. really had good ride rolling up ang down the roads, went to talisay via ligaya rd, crdi engine is just powerful even with 7 people aboard. had a fuel consumption of 10-11 km/l.....mixed nlex/slex at edsa driving...including the heavy friday traffic rush at jam sa nlex at midnight dahil sa banggaan.
question....ok lang ba na isinabak ko downhill at uphill drive sa zigzag rd ng talisay sa breakin period? i used the manual mode para mas malakas hatak at sa akyatan nagdodown shift ako between 2-3k rpm...at some point kasi na walang bwelo, i can feel the engine really reving pero di abot 3k rpm shifting pattern ko.
pero srap talaga ng ride...walang sakit sa katawan.

thanks bro..oo nga it seems ipod link is not available yet..just using the tape adaptor. i guess sound quality is better than FM modulators. It's not yet HID..i check the headlights and its w/o ballast..to make sure sinilip ko na rin bulb..its a standard halogen bulb. I guess wala pa cguro nag-upgrade sa atin..medyo alanganin kasi if u talk to dealers, they claim warranty might be an issue.
btw, hinataw ko na tagaytay yesterday w/ 6 passengers..it's really better than any mid-size SUV around. comfy n good torque for a 2.2 diesel. sulit !!

October 24th, 2006 07:50 AM #500am really a hyundai fan. had h100, an elantra wagon, my sis an a/t sedan, am now driving a starex, and my ate drives a tucson. all our rides never had big problems just minor ones. i saw lots of improvements since my first hyundai. the tucson is really nice and fun to drive. already drove a santa fe and it's no question very fun to drive and very comfortable. power is good or excellent for a diesel engine, but the comfort is way very comfy compared to other midsize suvs. ang layo ng ganda nito sa fortuner (no harm meant to owners). i wished i have enough pesos now to get me a santa fe!!!
