October 20th, 2010 05:46 PM #568*trackers888,
pati yung Tucson R eVGT Premium ng kapatid kong babae at yung Vanette namin nasa labas din. Outside de kulambo din sila. Ito observations ko both city driving and highway driving (pinabless sa Manaoag last Sunday):
1. Leather seats is of top notch quality. Mom ko pihikan sa pwedeng tulugan na kotse kapag city driving, sa Sonata nakakatulog siya agad dahil sa sobrang lambot at quality ng leather seats.
2. Ride is better than the Camry and Accord. I've ridden both cars (4 of my friends have the 2 cars), ang pakiramdam is parang nakasakay ka sa isang bangka na dumadaan sa maalon na dagat. The Sonata on the other hand, has a firmer ride but still soft and comfortable.
3. My dad drove it to 200 kph on SCTEX last sunday. Going to 200 kph is really effortless, kahit 2.4 lang makina, and you don't feel that you're already hitting 200 kph.
4. Overtaking kuligligs and tricycles on Tarlac-Santa Rosa Road, McArthur Highway and Romulo Highway is also effortless. No need to use the paddle shifters and the sportronic mode to downshift.
5. The audio system is superb! The 8 inch subs located at the back provides good bass and rear fill. I found that the tweeters are located near the front windshield. Hyundai used the SQ sound set-up for the Sonata.
6. The aircon is really cold. Colder than our former Nissan vehicles. Especially if the rear aircon vents are opened.
7. The Kumho Solus tires actually survived the long trip going to Manaoag. And McArthur Highway, at its Pangasinan segment, has numerous potholes. Also the Urdaneta-Manaoag Road has numerous potholes. Same for the Manaoag-Mangaldan Road, and the Romulo Highway from Camiling to Tarlac. Maybe Kumho was pressured to make stronger tires for the ASEAN market.
8. Space at the rear is big. I have 3 younger siblings aged 18, 15, and 11, and nagkasya kami sa likod ng hindi nasisisikipan.
9. FC for harurot mode highway driving is 10.04 km/l, and conservative mode highway driving is 12.88 km/l.
