Turning 1 month old 1.6V na yung akin pero may rattle kapag malubak and medyo mabilis during the last 2 driving sessions. Kapag mabagal naman nawawala yung sound. Upon thorough inspection yesterday, may 2 observations ako.
First suspect is the plastic part na railing cover sa 2nd row right seat. Medyo loose compared the other 3 railing cover kaya nag-create ng noise (Placed a thin foam underneath the cover). The other is the cargo area kapag naglagay ka ng gamit beside the panel, doon mag-rattle (moved my things in the center). Will check again kung nawala na talaga yung tunog before i bring it sa 1st month PMS.

February 11th, 2019 11:45 PM #3944My 1.6 S has a low speed clunking sound that manifests when going slowly on not so smooth roads. It also has a steering wheel vibration when you turn the steering wheel full lock to the left. Mentioned it during the 6 mo PMs last January but wasn’t able to do road test as I didn’t have the time.

February 13th, 2019 01:09 AM #3946Finally bought the CR-V 1.6 S. Thanks for everyone's input and advice on this thread. I couldn't be happier with my choice (so far
)
I only have had the car for 14 days but so far all is great. I feel as though I should write a few pros and cons right off the bat for the person still on the fence about buying one. Since it really was all of you and your input here, on this forum, that ultimately helped make my decision. Maybe I could help someone else. Most of this has already been said here but this is based on my findings so far.
Pros:
1. First and forth most this car's suspension is smoooooth. I mean the ride is just fantastic. It takes pot holes well, rough roads well and keeps all the road noise and vibrations inside the cabin to a minimum. It is as if you are in kinda a cocoon, separated from the chaos of Manila's rough roads and noise. It is still a low car, compared to SUVs, so if you have a steep approach angle in you path you gotta take it slower than another car with more height clearance. I used to think SUV=comfort, that is really not the case, its smooth suspension=smooth ride.
2. Fuel consumption. I am getting 10k/L all city driving ECO OFF, haven't left Manila. Enough said.
3. High tech, last car was from 2010 so having a car that has such an integrated head unit is pretty sweet. Cell phone connections, car system options are all displayed and controlled within the head unit and some apps (spotify, waze) displays on the dash itself as well.
4. Interior layout feels and looks upmarket. Sitting in traffic for hours will make you appreciate the upscale design of the CR-V. Was thinking of buying a Terra but one big reason I didn't was its cheap looking plastic interior.
Cons:
1. Downshifting. Its been said here before but the downshifting is sluggish sometimes. Mostly happens when you accelerate than you let go of the gas pedal to coast and it has to shift down because of the decrease of acceleration. When the transmission downshifts, the revs go up and it is noticeable and annoying. It also is sluggish to downshift when you want to accelerate- Only noticed today, I believe I just got into 3rd gear when there was an opening in traffic I wanted zoom thru, so I slammed the gas and to my disappointment it took 1.5 or so to downshift and accelerate. Again you have to catch it at the right time (or wrong time) so when the gear just changed up, then you slam the gas it will have problems.
2. Android auto. Not sure if its my phone or cable or just android but sometimes spotify will skip until I change track or disconnect and re connect the cable. Sometimes wazes takes forever to search the route. Making a call while listening to music, then going back to music after I hang up, there will be audio that comes out of my phone speakers (split sec) then it transfers to the car speakers. The last one happens all the time, the others only sometimes.
3. Stock horn. It sucks, sounds like an electric buzzer. Just replace it. Easy.
That is basically it so far, Iv'e only had it for 2 weeks but its an awesome car and I couldn't be happier with it. Take away here is that it is comfortable. Probably the most comfortable car you can get at sub 2m. I mean the C does stand for comfort in CR-V
