Dropped by the dealer this morning to have the 1,000km checkup bro. A 2018 1.6S was on display in the showroom. Noticed the absence of the smart key on the door handle right away. Not sure what else was changed. Maybe they're trying to push the SX.

Smart key doesn't have the ridges of the smart key button anymore? That's odd, it's not on their spec sheet. I'll see when I drop by for my 30k PMS on the Civic (27.5k km now) or 1k on the CRV (150 km now). I wonder which will come first. [emoji23]

There seemed to be a keyhole instead of the usual button on the handle. We had our 1k at 260 km. OR/CR took so long

There's no button on the door handle bro, the CRV has a touch-sensitive part on the handle instead of a button like on the Civic.

Our 2.0S also has a keyhole but still has smart entry.

Ah. I assume those are the ones that look like ridges? My bad. I assumed they were the same as the X-trail's hehe.

The CRV uses a proximity/touch sensor instead of the traditional small button typical of the keyless entry. You need to just insert your hand as if just opening the handle and touch the ‘3’ line sensor when closing or just walk away...it will close when it does not sense the key 2m away...

Yes bro the ridges are where the sensors for the keyless entry are. [emoji6]

You touch the ridges to lock.

Haven't had time to take a proper picture of the car. To be honest, it's not as much a looker as the Civic. But being a CUV, it has more presence by default.

Looks much cleaner than the prev gen CRV though, so hopefully the design ages well. It took the previous gen two facelifts to look good, this one just builds on the latest facelift of the previous CRV and made it a bit more modern with an angrier face and less awkward lines in the rear quarter.
