July 5th, 2010 02:26 PM #701Actually I am not talking about HID only. Headlights whether halogens, HIDS, etc if not aligned properly could produce glare.... So how are they going to apprehend without any basis. I used to have one and malakas talaga din ang buga ng ilaw kahit halogen lang sila.
saka paano naman nila masasabi na nakakasilaw yun headlight mo? meron ba silang equipment to check that?

no need for equipments. just drive oppositely from the suspect vehicle. pag lumiit aang pupil ng eyes mo and medyo sumingkit ang mata mo in other words, nasilaw ka. then nakakasilaw ang HL na yun.
for owners with over-glaring HL's, be sensitive enough to properly adjust those freaking lights.

July 5th, 2010 05:15 PM #704I am refering to the apprehension itself. I believe that LEOs cannot afford to drive around just to apprehend those who have those kind of lights.
And again, that is subjective, You need to have a common baseline para masabi na patas para sa lahat. Like yun case ng wang-wang.... it is obvious for them to know kung nagviolate kagad yun sasakyan or like yun blinkers...
Yun lighting kasi, ano ang baseline kung ilan lumens? and how are they going to gauge that to say that there is a violation?

about HID, "most" oem HID equipt vehicles dont glare. why? "most" are equipped with proper projector kits and properly adjusted etc etc etc. except for those a-holes improperly adjusted their kits.
those hid a-holes that glares oppositely approaching vehicles are "mostly" aftermarket without proper projector kits and improperly adjusted. and sa di maipaliwanag na kadahilanan, insensitive sila!
and about sa equipment for the glaring violation you said, gastos lang yan. baka pagkakitaan pa yan ng gobyerno, overpricing (i hope Pnoy will be different). simpleng speed gun (basta yung ginagamit sa pagmeasure ng speed) halos wala ata ang pulis,(never seen one police officer equipped with a speed gun) which is more useful if ever.but what the hell, heavy traffic is common in the metro.
