Ask lang mga experts, bago lang yung oil ko. Wala pa sa 500kms yung natatakbo nito after change oil, then nung tiningnan ko yung dipstick maitim na din yung oil, ibig sabihin po ba nito eh maganda yung gamit kong oil?
BTW, Top 1 SDO gamit ko sa 2KD-FTV.

aside from residue ng previous oil mas mabilis talaga umitim ang oil ng diesel engine.

January 27th, 2015 09:30 PM #3094Matuwa ka kasi umitim ang oil mo. Ibig sabihin natrap nya yung dumi ng makina. Matakot ka sa oil na gamit mo kung malinis pa rin after 5000km.

Sowee to say partly disagree here. I think it just a waste of money changing the air & fuel filters every 5K. simply use your judgment in visually spot-checking and change the air filter when it looks dirty or necessary. besides modern car engines rely on a precise ratio of air to fuel. where as, fuel filter was not really a filter as in the early days, more of a valve regulator better technology etc...than anything else. when a fuel filter is clogs, it begins to starve the engine of needed gas causing the car to constantly stall. best bet, of course, is to consult the owner's manual.

Has anyone of you guys tried both idemitsu & caltex delo gold for gasoline engine? alin kaya sa dalawa ang mas tahimik sa makina???

The fuel filters of most EFI cars nowadays are in-tank na and they're pretty expensive to buy and replace. IIRC they are replaced every 40k (or 80k). Inline fuel filters are cheap but they have a smaller filter element so it makes sense to replace them every 5k.
BTT: I've only tried Zic and DGU on my Vios aside from the Toyota synthetic. Parang quieter ang DGU.
