Sowee to say partly disagree here. I think it just a waste of money changing the air & fuel filters every 5K. simply use your judgment in visually spot-checking and change the air filter when it looks dirty or necessary. besides modern car engines rely on a precise ratio of air to fuel. where as, fuel filter was not really a filter as in the early days, more of a valve regulator better technology etc...than anything else. when a fuel filter is clogs, it begins to starve the engine of needed gas causing the car to constantly stall. best bet, of course, is to consult the owner's manual.

i agree, sa d4d engine na lang for example; *30K km odo need to inspect/replace the fuel filter.

The fuel filters of most EFI cars nowadays are in-tank na and they're pretty expensive to buy and replace. IIRC they are replaced every 40k (or 80k). Inline fuel filters are cheap but they have a smaller filter element so it makes sense to replace them every 5k.

BTT: I've only tried Zic and DGU on my Vios aside from the Toyota synthetic. Parang quieter ang DGU.
