The dollar index's march towards 100 was halted by dovish Fed minutes. Though a rate hike in December is still expected the Fed wanted market participants to understand that this rate hike cycle is going to be the most dovish ever. If you're long USD don't be scared. The dollar just needs another catalyst to rally again and it can very well be the jobs report on Dec 4. Or the ECB announces more easing on Dec. 3. Until then the dollar will be in consolidation mode.

The Fed will hold an "emergency" meeting today. Some are attributing today's dollar strength to the meeting. The Fed will probably raise the discount rate which will signal a rate hike next month.

PSEi has been on the upswing since last week. I was expecting it to stay in the 6,700-6,900 level until after the Fed hike.

Wonder if it's a good time to buy now (7,000 level) in preparation for an upswing back to 7,200-7,300, or just wait for the index to drop again to 6,700.

it's glut. Not glute. Glut | Define Glut at Dictionary.com

Looks like there's limited downside left in EURUSD. The euro fell below 1.06 against the dollar on Monday but bounced back strong (lots of buyers under 1.06) which got me thinking: On the euro side, how much of the ECB easing in December is already priced in? On the dollar side, how much of the Fed rate hike in December is already priced in?

Limited downside: after spending a few hours under 1.06 last night, EURUSD stabilizes above 1.06.

Sellers overwhelm buyers. The ECB is expected to extend QE and cut the deposit rate. A lot of that is already priced in so risk is to the upside.
