agree. we have very few plastic food containers at home. mostly glass and ceramic na and I was about to agree with your post... until I realized that my ice tray is still plastic (I grew up with an aluminum one that lasted forever pero almost impossible to remove the ice). water jugs sa fridge are still plastic. food (meal plan) was delivered in disposable containers.

Even the paper container we use is lined up with some wax material.

if you have a sandwich for a trip. will you use a tupperware, a single use ziplock, or wrap it in a paper towel?

I remember seeing a booth selling Tupperware products in KL and the first reaction my wife gave was "ang cute, buhay pa pala yung brand"

We were about to buy a set just for fun and we started laughing about the tupperware jug that can only be used with Tang (later eight o clock)

Until we remembered that lock n lock and corelle were better because of their locking mechanisms.

I use a stainless steel container with a plastic lid. I just choose a size where the sandwich is not in contact with the plastic lid.

my sandwiches are usually a triple-deck ham sandwich, with lotsa butter.
i wrap them in tissue towel (daiso!), then place them in use-until-it-dies plastic ziplock or drug-quality plastic bag.
the butter always seeps out, hence the plastic.
tupperware? dunno where manang hid it...
