Own damaged

Talagang sa insurance company ang mag iinvestigate sa damage ng oto mo. In my case, dati may naatrasan akong hand railing, so nagkaron ng malalim na dent sa tailgate ko. So after a week, pumunta ako sa insurance company ko (BPIMS) para mag file ng claim (own damage). Nag fill-up lang ako ng form, then tinignan ng imbestigador yung damage. Sa una ineexpect ko na tail gate ko lang ilalagay nya, pero pati yung napakaliit na damage sa tail light ko napansin nya. So sinama nya na rin yun sa findings nya.

Pagdating ko naman sa CASA, palit lahat ng bago ang recommendation. Bagong tail gate and tail light for a grand total of almost 34k. Nagbayad lang ako ng participation fee na 3.3k then iniwan ko na sa casa. After a few days, good as new na ulit. Pinakita pa sakin yung old tail gate and tail light ko.

mga bro natamaan at nabutas yung front bumper ng GE ko dahil sa naka usling bakal sa parking pwede ko ba itong i claim ng own damage sa insurance ko ano ba ibig sabihin ng (OWN DAMAGE) mas detail explanation sana? sa insurance policy?

Yes you can claim against your own damage coverage. An "own damage" coverage is, simply put, damage to your own vehicle. including theft na usually yun. Although there are still some insurers who have separate coverage for own damage and theft, but it is quite rare now. As long as the vehicle is being used legally (not used for racing, towing other vehicles, etc, they are all stated in the policy) and driven by an authorized person (with valid license, not drunk), then any damage to the vehicle is claimable. These are the basic documents you need to submit: Affidavit, your drivers license and OR, your Cert of registration and OR, pictures of the damage with at least one pic showing the plate, estimate.

ok na nga pala claim ko buong bumper palit pati mga hidden damages compressor at beam yata umabot nga lang ng 1 1/2 month sa CASA.
