Yes, price is a big factor.

Still not sold on EVs yet. Local infrastructures leave much to be desired and traditional jeepneys should have been phased out by now if they already heavily favor it. Hybrid is still the best option here so far if people want something different than ICE.

Toyota was right all this time ... yet they got bashed for not concentrating on EVs ... they are still pushing for Hydrogen fuel as the answer ...

As deep as the CPC/PRC government's treasury.

"China Obersver" isn't what you'd call a reliable source, to be honest.

It's actually not just price. Even the hybrid powertrain of the likes of BYD are far superior to that of Toyota, who used to rule the roost on the hybrid side.

Was able to drive the BYD Sealion the other day, I would say its power, features, riding comfort and NVH is far superior than any mainstream japanese, american or european brand of similar size, or even their more expensive models.

Ang question nalang is kung magtatagal or matibay ba.

Do the materials inside also feel premium? No hard plastics, etc?

Comparable to the Maxda CX9. It was just a quick drive around a few blocks. Did not feel any rattles or hard shakes/bumps when driver over a part of the road where I normally will feel some shaking when driving other cars.
