March 8th, 2020 09:34 AM #41NiMH ata pag usually japanese EVs, if im not mistaken. Dahil dun ata sila nagfocus ng battery development. Not sure kung panasonic ito or some other proprietary brands.
Re battery, i think si toyota ph, 5 years lang battery warranty niya which is a tad unfair dahil sa ibang bansa 8 years at least. 10 years max.
Don't know pag dating sa koreans and china hybrids. Parang wala na din kasi ako nakikita marketing or push dito sa atin galing sa BYD na dapat may saeiling battery tech. Pero mahal din kasi asking ni BYD for their EVs

November 5th, 2020 06:10 AM #47Who among tsikoteers has a hybrid? Can anyone here make an honest assessment about these cars? I saw the Ioniq yesterday & claimed FC is 24 km/lit combined & priced at around P1.5m.

Its to early to bet on the hyundais when the Toyotas are available. Id give it 3-5 more years for the Korean tech to catch up to Toyota's hybrid reliability and after market battery replacements.
Btw don't buy full retail price of the Ioniq. There are huge discounts available. Currently they're giving a free car with the Ioniq. that means they can also give a cash discount.
1M Ioniq sounds reasonable enough.

Okay itong approach ng Suzuki: lighter and smaller.
Simple at less resources used kaysa sa more complex drivetrain approach (e.g. hybrid / turbo). Back to basics.
