Thanks sientobente. If that's the case, the 5850bt will act as transport and internal dac will be by-passed by the 4to6, correct? I think I would let go of the processor already since I am satisfied with the tuning options the 5850bt provides. Hirap din mag saksak sa laptop every time mag tweak ng tono.

I already tried my 165FX powered by just the stock HU, and I like the sound signature already. Full-bodied and warm sounding. The 165F is not much different than the 165FX, since the difference mainly is just the dustcap. The dustcap of the 165FX was designed to have a more focused dispersal, while the 165F has a wider throw. What I like on the Tempo Ultras though is the excellent low-end bass. It's enough to make you not itch for a sub for a while.

On the 20-25k level, I like the DLS Ultimate UP6i - space saving, warm sounding and silky smooth highs. All those I have auditioned un-amped.
Thanks for the suggestions. I already intstalled the 165f and added some deadeners on the front doors. Nagmahal na pala siya. Before it was around 16k and the 165fx was around 21k. Ngayon halos 19k na sya while the fx is 26k! Im planning to add an underseat sub next. Medyo maliit kasi mazda 2 and id like to hide it kapag papa pms na. Any suggestions for a budget of 15k?
Btw are you also on pdvd? My handle's fentom over there. Started my journey in audio on headphiles then pdvd then ICE na.

Yes sir, same handle sa pdvd. I am installing a 10" sub in a compact 5 liter box on my hatch next week. I will let you know the results when its already installed.

    RE: Mosconi and Pioneer
Unlikely. The only time you'll bypass the Pioneer DAC is if the signal goes through pure digital and as most people install via analog RCAs, chances are you won't bypass it. So it'll go through the Pioneer DAC muna before being influenced by the Mosconi DAC.

I'll be honest: I never appreciated the differences in DACs. I'm more on the science and scientific part when it comes to DACs over their supposed sound. This is why I recommend buying a head unit for its features; not on how it sounds. So yes, I would recommend that you sell the Mosconi DSP nalang.

    Re: Subs
Go for underseat subwoofers only if you really think you need the space. Just for the record, I believe stock car subwoofers sound better than underseat subs. If one has spare amplifier channels, it might be a better idea to go for a low profile subwoofer with a fabricated MDF box. Just make the box small to fit whatever requirements you need.

To those who are using Pioneer 2 din head units, & have an iphone 7/7+, did you encounter any problem? I installed a pioneer 2850 in my wife's Innova. Her previous phone was an iphone 6+, & we had no problems making waze show up in the head unit, but when she got the 7+, only black screen shows in the head unit, but audio can be heard.

Thanks sir. I got a 2din for my wife specifically for 2 reasons - back up cam & waze. Now hassle nawala yung display ng waze sa headunit when she plugs the iphone 7+.

Alright Ill look into other options first.

Mazda's headunit tuning capabilities really limited. I wonder if anybody's tried adding a dsp To their system

I use the X8850BT with an Iphone 6S, never got Waze to function on my HU. I read from an Android forum, Google is dropping Waze support for HUs. They will focus on Android Auto instead, and put Waze there. This is why I was in the market for an Android phone. Although I just bought an Oppo F1S recently, haven't tried out Waze yet.
