What's the difference between the Klasse AIO and dedicated paint cleaners like Mother's Step 1, or even Meguiar's Ultimate Polish?
Klasse AIO - 10 oz sells for $6.90 while Meguiar's Ultimate Polish - 16 oz is $6.97. But Meguiar's is more popular (good reviews) and cheaper too.
so now I don't know if I should get Klasse or Meguair's.

ive been using klasse probably for over 10 years now and only on my second small bottle since i use it about every few months. cant beat the ease of application, the shine and durability, and it that it goes on the entire car except the tires.
not sure if its there already but megs now has black and white wax: White Wax

There's two ways on how to "clean" a panel. One is to chemically clean it and the other uses abrasion to cut down the contaminants. Klasse's AIO uses the former while Mother's Step 1 and Meguiar's Ultimate Polish uses the latter.
The detailing world has many nitty gritties. For example, KAIO is advertised as an "all-in-one", however its polishing action isn't that regarded. It uses the chemical "cleaning" of the paint to reduce the appearance of surface scratches while protection from sealant doesn't last long that's why it's usually topped up with Klasse's Sealant and Glaze (KSG). But since it does all three "technically", you can advertise it as an AIO. For most, we simply regard it as a damn-good paint cleaner
Mother's Step 1 is a polish. However, its polishing action is so "light" that many people regard it as a dedicated cleaner instead. It won't correct your swirls as effective as a polisher with more "cut", but at least it'll prep your paint.
Meguiar's Ultimate Polish borders on "medium" and "light". If that's the deal between the two, I'm afraid I'll go for Meguiar's in that case... unless you need a dedicated cleaner and not a polish. BUT as you're going for hand applications, vote is still on KAIO.

+1 to sir jhnkvn. my vote also goes to KAIO.
i bought the KAIO/KSG twins 10oz container together 2yrs ago. the KAIO now is almost empty, the KSG is barely 1/4 empty and seldom used. i got other sealants like menz powerlock and blackfire wd.

August 16th, 2013 12:11 PM #49Hehe, maybe in a couple of months - still working out which ones I want to keep and which ones to sell. I do need to cut down on my products though, since we'll be moving back to a condo next year, and I likely won't be able to use a lot of what I have.
Yes. Dun sya sa Paseo de Magallanes, I believe. Might also consider Big Berts in Sucat, or perhaps Antricks at the Petron near Buendia and South Super Highway.
KAIO is a functionally non-abrasive chemical cleaner which also leaves behind a (weak) sealant. Meguiar's Ultimate Polish is a fine abrasive polish, using mechanical action to clean the paint (and perhaps remove some micro-swirling); it also has those trademark Meguiar's "polishing" oils that do some (slight) filling, and help make paint really deep and wet-looking.
Hehe nanggulo pa ko - I'll echo what the others have said, and go with KAIO, which is incredibly versatile.
The white wax is actually another good option - it's basically an AIO with some cut and polishing oils. I believe the wax component is based on Gold Class, so it's not the most durable product in the world.
KAIO is also my default paint-prep product, whenever I don't plan on polishing -and particularly if I'm planning on using a sealant. I recently ordered a bottle of the new DP Coating Prep Polish though, a non-abrasive cleaner which is supposed to clean the paint and leave absolutely nothing behind (it's made for, as the name implies, prepping the paint prior to applying a coating like Opti-Coat), which might replace KAIO in some applications for me (it's also cheaper than KAIO, which is a plus).Last edited by umi001; August 16th, 2013 at 12:13 PM.

Thanks mga boss!!! How do I apply KAIO? Applicator pad din? I have the Microtex applicator pad but I am thinking of getting the Meguair's round soft foam applicator pad but is that washable and durable like the Microtex? Geez pati sa applicator pad I am gonna go crazy from the variety
And what do I need to use to buff it off? Ultra Plush?
So this will be my step - wash - kaio - 845.
Do I still apply nanosliq?
