sorry for the long absence guys. nice to see this thread is alive and kicking with detailing addicts like me hehehe

    Bongers,

wash mitts are made of cotton. its probably the best tool to use for washing the car.
Megs is Meguiar's, MF is microfiber towels like microtex etc. Soft 99 is a Japanese brand of wax you can buy sa concorde. sa ace dati may mga wash mitts, pero naubos na. may mga MF din dun.

    good luck!!

you can use foam applicators to apply the glaze and then use a MF cloth to polish it off.

what's the best ROP pad and cleaner wax?
hard to answer that. if you ask this 5 times you might get 5 different answers...

well to name a few, may Megs, Mom's and Eagle One.. these are brand names with their respective cleaner waxes in their product line.

for pads, may 3M, Megs and LC... selecting a combo (product-pad) depends on what process you want to do and the results that you expect. check if your ROP can accomodate 6.5" or 8" pads.. better yet, see if your backing plate has velcro.

take note that there are different kinds of pads for different purposes. meron cutting, polishing and finishing pads. you can also get MF bonnets for product removal.

for ROP use, I suggest you stick to the polishing and finishing foam pads.

Tama si Dehadista, check your ROP if it has a velcro backing plate, it not get a couple of 3M Velcro strips, while at it look for a couple of 3M waffle pads, I think its available in True Value. The pad included is pretty useless. Use a microfiber to buff off.
