    1. The Uber code, you get from other users or from establishments that have a tie-up with Uber. Do use my code so you'll get free P300 Uber credits: LOUB44

    2. If walang available - for example, you just download the app on your smartphone and sign up - wala kang free Uber credits. That's about it. Kumbaga, marketing tactic ng Uber iyan so that existing Uber users would try to convince other people to sign up sa Uber, kasi win-win. You get free Uber credits by using my code; I also get free Uber credits at the same time.

    3. The surge, kapag in demand ang Uber vehicles, tumataas iyong rate. So sometimes it'll be 3X, 2X surge. Makikita mo sa app kung naka-surge and by how much before ka magtawag ng Uber vehicle, so makaka-decide ka ahead of time kung feel mo pa rin gumamit ng Uber even though naka-surge.

    4. Yeah, iba pa ang per-minute charging sa per km. For example, with Uber Black, ang babayaran mo is base fare of P90 + P2.10 per minute + P12.92 per kilometer.

    5. Yeah, they don't accept payment through PayPal dito sa Pinas. Other countries like sa US, they do. Credit card lang for now ang inaaccept dito sa Pinas.

    6. Kapag walang available, like in my case sometimes, I use Easy Taxi or GrabTaxi. Download mo rin mga app nila para marami kang choice.

    7. The cars are privately-owned, pero balita ko marami sa kanila may-ari ng rental cars that sign up to be an Uber vehicle.

    UberX is similar to EasyTaxi & GrabTaxi. Uber Black is supposed to be a more premium service with higher rates. The confusion stems from UberBlack's promotional rates being priced close to EasyTaxi & GrabTaxi rates.

    UberX = Economy cars
    Uber Black = "High" end cars

    Yes. The person who gave you the code will also get P300 once you use your P300 free din.

    99moves: Yup. Search for Uber on your smartphone, download it, register, enter code sa field, enter credit card details.

    Its good that UBER and the government is trying to meet halfway. But what are the implications of being categorized as 'vehicle-for-hire'?
