i want their heads to roll.
so much inconvenience to countless folks... national reputation tarnished... money lost...
this shouldn't be allowed to happen again.

This is the 2nd time na about power outage. If this keeps happening many international flights may remove their stop here in PH because of incompetence.

Saka yung mga tourists na na perwisyo nyan, sigurado hindi na yan babalik.

    in an earlier radio interview,
the "knowledgeable person" was hinting at previous big mis-events, not only at naia, but elsewhere local, that were traceable daw to ill-activity...
he did not mention specific names, however.

They probably didn't pray hard enough for no downtime before going on hiatus.

Getting 380V instead of 220-240V is a wiring and/or possibly a configuration issue, not a power surge. Most large datacenter UPSs are 3-phase. So it would seem that while they were panic-stricken trying to put everything back online, they powered the 220-240V equipment directly from 380V, which is one of the standard Line-to-Line voltage of a 220V/380V 3-phase source. You get 220V from Line-to-Neutral, in this case.

I think they're playing the blame game to minimize their own failures, pointing a finger at Meralco for the "power surge". If that were actually the case, it would've affected everyone in the neighborhood, not just CAAP.
    Looney tunes lol

[In 2018, Congress allotted P13 billion to the Department of Transportation for a state-of-the-art communications, navigation, surveillance/air traffic management (CNS/ATM) systems of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). The system supposedly matches those used in Europe and Taiwan to ensure more efficient air navigation.

However, it turned out that the CNS-ATM system had no backup or redundancies in place because Tugade allegedly diverted the budget for its setup to non-essential civil works at NAIA.

Among the beautification projects allegedly prioritized by former President Rodrigo Duterte’s former classmate were the installation of electronic billboards and concreting of parking spaces for cars outside NAIA terminals.

What we know so far: Philippines' air traffic system fiasco

So the system was introduced in 2010, but became fully operational in 2019. I won't be surprised if the trolls are going to throw the blame on Pnoy if they read this.

I'm not an expert on this but I know UPS is not intended to be a backup power supply. Generators are, UPS para lang wag mag down while switching to generators.
