Since malapit na ang Mahal na Araw, I can still remember how we used to celebrate this event. Pagdating ng October 30, we set up our tents sa Loyola Memorial sa Marikina then we go home muna. Then pagdating ng 12MN ng November 1, babalik na kami ulit doon to put flowers and candles sa mga headstone ng departed loved ones namin. My cousins & I play with the melting wax from the candles and make it into balls. We go strolling & sometimes making new friends and aquaintances. We usually stay there until the late afternoon of November 1, but before we go, our family recites the Rosary then ajourn na!
But now times have changed and we don't get to do that anymore! We just light candles in the altar and pray for our departed. Kaka lungkot pero ganun na ngayon.
How about you? How do you celebrate your All Saints Day & All Souls Day?
