Anawangin Cove, Zambales is a nice place to go, especially this summer.

its very nice and quiet as the place is not modernize yet, no electricity and no cottages, so you have to bring your own tent where you can sleep at night and go on bonfire....

the place is a must go, huwag maging dayuhan sa sarili mong bansa.

This is the Bora of North; punta ka na before this is discovered by investors and make the prices shoot up high!!!

Been there this May and litter/trash bags are visible almost anywhere in the pine tree grounds where people pitch camp...

Hope they (resort(s) owners) find an effective way of garbage collection, esle in years time a part of the cove might turn into an undesirable view of a mini-dumpsite, and we don't want to see such site in a supposed-to-be serene island getaway destination.

The place is nice but not drop dead gorgeous, and I wouldn't say this is "the Bora of the north" as someone mentioned above. I'd rather say Pagudpud is the Bora of the north.

Anyway, the comment about the garbage is right. It's really depressing that some idiots would actually litter anywhere they want.

The best thing about Anawangin is that it's relatively cheap to have a vacation here since it's more of a camping place. Best days to go here is during weekdays.

    .
Same case when we went to Potipot Island further north in Zambales. When we were packing up, another group was waiting to take our spot. They saw us cleaning and said "Tayo tayo pala maglilinis???" with a completely ignorant look.... I wanted to shove our trash down her throat.

    As the saying goes:
    "Take nothing but pictures.
    Leave nothing but footprints.
    Kill nothing but time."

    cast,
sa sbma turn right pagbaba mo ng tipo, go striaght until the end (4-way stop, right turn leads to main gate to olongapo), turn left there until you reach the gate to subic. Turn left after the bridge. You will pass the towns of subic, castillejos and san marcelino. At san marcelino turn left right after the municipal hall (there should be a sign "to san antonio"). At san antonio you can look for my batch mate, he organizes tours to anawangin, camara/capones and nagsasa. Better call or text him before hand as he might be busy, summer e. Name is Glenn, phone 09183527100. He can meet you, arrange your stay and even provide secure parking.

he is also in fb, pm me if interested in his services.
