Changing ATF Fluid completely (DIALYSIS PROCESS)

Had mine done at Fronte in Banawe for our Starex, dialysis process also, it now pulls good as new. Van was hesitant to pull after upshifting before.

all you need is a good helper, a funnel and your guts to do it....

DIY drain and replace ATF, spares the fluid that is in the torque converter. That's what makes dialysis process way better. Also, they include cleaning additives in the fluid for some other fluid that might not still come out. Cleaning it as well in the process.

nag-inquire ako sa mitsubishi casa... gumagawa daw sila ng dialysis process pero 6 liters lang daw ang kailangan na ATF. total cost would be P5400. is that really a complete dialysis? sabi naman nila yes daw kasi they will also drain the torque converter.

nagtataka lang ako kung bakit 6 liters lang eh parang nasa 10 liters ang nakalagay sa manual...

i wonder kung gumagawa nito sa customer's cradle or servitek las pinas (just before alabang)

anyway, medyo maselan ang mga honda sa atf so kailangan ba lahat ng atf ipasok habang dialysis iyong oem atf? ours kasi is a civic fd 2.0 s-l so i suppose medyo madami-dami ang atf na kailangan ko nito

Ng magtanong ako last year nag dialysis daw sila pero bring your oil, gusto ko din sana subukan kasi 80k na odo ko, sa pms kasi drain n fill lan

6 liters is too few para sa dialysis process,,,, alam mu naman casa puro raket yan.... pag dialysis mas madami ka magagamit atf than what is already being used by the vehicle kasi nga dialysis nga.. in then out... ahha..

That's expensive. Did they show you their dialysis machine?

The number of litres used for the process depend also on the extent of the dirtiness of your existing ATF. Years ago, i used 20 litres on a used Corona we bought (the total bill was P 5,000+ at Autotechnika when it was still open).

I just change the ATF of my Hi-ace everytime I change the engine oil. It always have the shiny and clear color. No problems with the AT so far. I'm planning to dismantle the pan underneath but it seems to be a tedious job. So I guess regular short time interval of ATF change is better and more practical than this dialysis method.

No need to dismantle things given your short maintenance interval.

For hi mileage cars with 1st time to replace ATF, you can have this same or better results than dialysis..

1. Drain AT fluid
2. Remove the pan, replace AT strainer and gasket.
3. Re-fill
4. Use the car for 1k. (This will allow fluid to dissolve some more sludge)
5. Drain and re-fill again.
