Not to beat a dead horse here but
1. nobody else is going to do the urban beautification (and no that's not the DENR's job), so
2. it's not a waste of taxpayer money and a useless sink of 2012 funding if they indeed embark on things like these, and
3. it IS part of their main job.
The MMDA drew flak a few years ago because they removed trees from EDSA. Now that they are returning some plant life to EDSA they get accused of not doing their jobs.
Wow.

I agree. The plants look good but the traffic enforcement of the MMDA has gone for the worse indeed. A lot of their enforcers are nothing more than traffic wavers, they're not consistently at their posts on time, and to me it seems i see less and less of them on the road today.

^^^Yan ang mahirap...hindi sya basta basta ihahang ang plants and that's it...Hindi pwedeng random plants lang bukod pa sa mahirap magmaintain nyan...Kelangan alaga sa water, trim, etc...
