We used to drive around in a stripper Pajero. No one even knew what it was. Fast forward fifteen years later. Now everyone thinks I'm some rich guy because I tool around in a Pajero. hay...

Under the new system, automobiles will be divided into four brackets. The first bracket which includes all vehicles with a manufacturer’s price of P600,000 or less will be taxed at two percent.

The second bracket includes cars priced at more than P600,000 but not more than P1.1 million. These cars will be covered by a tax of P12,000 plus 20 percent of the amount in excess of
P600,000.

For vehicles with a manufacturer’s price of P1.1 million to P2.1 million, the tax is P112,000 plus 40 percent of the amount in excess of P1.1 million.

The fourth bracket which includes all vehicles with a manufacturer’s price in excess of P2.1 million will be taxed at P512,000 plus 60 percent of the amount in excess of P2.1 million, a reduction from the current level of 100 percent.

how will this affect the BMW X5 kaya? its selling now at less than 5M. sa ibang bansa nasa $40K+ so mga 2M+ lang. so kung lets say mga 1.8M ang base price, after computing, mga 2.192M nalang? tama ba ako or wishful thinking lang?

pareho pala tayo ng tinititigan, kaya sa XC90 na lang ako, kung price na nasa motion cars ay 3.75M, hatiin natin to get the assumed selling price before the 100% tax, tapos apply cat 3,

(3750000/2) + 112000 + 350000 = 2,337,000

tama ba?

so, tama ako sa hinala na yong BIR tax ay pantakot lang para maubos inventory ng mga 4x2 SUV he he he
