Infants should ride at the back on belted baby chairs. A kid sitting in front could become airborne and slam onto the dashboard or worse go thru the winshield, in the event of a collision. Yes, even when wearing seat belts, and much deadlier is your car has a front passenger airbag. Remember that seat belts are designed using the average human torso as a guide. This is why infant chairs have safety belts of their own.
