PH lemon car buyer wins case, local dealership ordered to replace defective unit at no cost | TopGear PH
A local Chevrolet owner recently won big in a case against her dealership, after the latter was ordered by the Court of Appeals (CA) to replace her defective unit at no cost.
The lemon unit was originally purchased back in June 2013 but was returned by its owner in November the following year after her vehicle’s check engine light switched on and she experienced “sudden downshifting of gears.”

September 26th, 2024 11:59 AM #18It would be interesting to monitor any consumers that will avail of the Consumer Act and how CASA would react/handle such case
Hopefully, more consumer will follow suit.
Dami kasing butas tong Lemon Law.
CASA will sometimes delay the repairs until the 12 mos is passed.
Or if ma fix man, hindi din natin alam na band-aid solution lang pala inapply na fix.
By the time na bumalik ang problem, paso na sa time-limit na inallow ng Lemon Law.
