Frankly, I think the staff would prefer the RFID tags not to work from time to time, otherwise they'd be out of work!

I think SCTEX uses your license plate number instead of the RFID sticker. Wala na yung rfid ko but the toll booth would open the barrier and show me my balance even without bringing out my card.

Applied for an Autosweep Go account at C5/SLEX. Installer mounted the RFID inside the windshield. Windshield has light VKool casa tint.

Result: 0 successful reads from 4 different gates. Kahit yung gate mismo sa unahan lang ng C5/SLEX office nila di mabasa

Yeah VKool is metallic. The tint is like a faraday cage around your car.
Even phone signal goes down and that's with an active radio.
The RFID tag is just a passive device so it's even weaker.

Yup it's most probably the tint. Natawa lang ako sa installer. Gabi na kasi and mukhang sya na lang mag-isa. Cashier, account opening, install, etc. And they wonder why humahaba ang pila sa tollgate tsk.

My EasyTrip RFID was removed from my car's windshield after replacing the tint. I plan to get a replacement for the EasyTrip RFID next week and have my Autosweep account integrated with it. Today I just found out I don't need to do this.

I went to Tagaytay this morning via SLEX and CALAX. Upon exiting CALAX going to sta rosa tagaytay road, I was surprised that the RFID scanner was able to charge my EasyTrip account. It looks like my Autosweep RFID account was automatically enrolled to my EasyTrip.

    Sweet!

Or the Easytrip scanner read your plate number.
    CALAX is under Easytrip
