June 30th, 2018 11:48 AM #51That is good reason why some drivers prefer the left most lane even if not overtaking.
Let me present an alternate view.
Ako I prefer in the middle lane, unless I'm running at maximum allowable speed, then I use the leftmost lane.
My reason why I prefer the middle or inner lane is because it gives me more options for escape route when an emergency happens. Pag bigla tumigil nasa harap ko for some reason, with good presence of mind, I can veer to the left or right depending on the situation.

June 30th, 2018 03:45 PM #53Middle Lane is best.
Now about sa leftmost Lane, whatever your speed is, make sure wala tayo maabala sa likuran. Hindi pwede ijustify for example you're making 100 and that should be ok because max speed limit Yun. That's not true, kase laging meron Mas mabilis sayo even bawal.

June 30th, 2018 04:15 PM #56yup.
reasonably mabilis din naman doon.
but i am thankful for slex authorities. they really keep the buses and trucks away from the fast lane, even during critical rush hour times.
dati dati, traffic kaming mga kotseng pabalik pasay, dahil the container vans were occupying all the slex lanes.

Pinaka-safe talaga.. once na nagkaroon ng aberya, at proper distance at speed, enough space, time at react na makapag- brake at maneuver, as safe as possible. At walang damages at huring inside or outside sa sasakyan/
Marami talagang pasaway sa highway lalo kung most of the time mga exposed sa city driving at bihira sa highway driving..
(Fast Lane Haggler)
Maliban pa sa mga teenagers ngayon na dala ay PPV's, CUV's at sub-compact sedan na less than 1300CC, at racing pa at post sa social media..
Iba pa ang situation pag dating sa toll-gate, gitgitan pa at agawan sa pila.. meron at meron pa ring nadadale.. slow speed na lang po ito..
Maintain Discipline, Respect at Courtesy...

Went to Los Baños today so had to deal with the awful road etiquette of SLEX again.
May isa na nakataas pa paa ng pasahero while cruising at 70 kph on the leftmost lane.

July 1st, 2018 09:46 AM #60Naalala ko nung bagong bukas ang NLEX (North Diversion road ang tawag noon) in the late 60s, may prime time TV ad showing etiquette like the passing lane, how to use the shoulder, what to do when your car breaks down, speed limits, etc. Sadly, marami pa ring hindi sumunod.
