mine are still at the pier. the authorities declared the deal as illegal, and my replacement plates are still being held hostage at the pier.

sa US yata ganito.. yung uncle ko yung plate# nya naiiwan sa kanya pag nagpapalit sya nang sasakyan..

in some countries, the number is permanently with the owner. the car changes hands, without number plate.

Got my car 2016, dealer called me a few weeks ago saying they already have my plates. I’m in no rush to get them though as I like my conduction number more.

Can you confirm if your plate ending number is the same as the conduction sticker ending number? Read somewhere that if your conduction sticker ending is "6", then LTO issues you a plate number that has ending "6" also.

Akin din wala pa. Unit was bought last Dec 2016 and registered Jan 2017. Sad. Sana di 1 or 2 ma-assign sakin.

Nope. Conduction ending number is 8, & plate number ending is 7. Actually the agent already advised me of my assigned plate number a month after I got my unit in 2016. The actual plate was only delivered to them recently.
