Sa Cebuana, 610 pesos yung insurance.

Yep, aagahan ko talaga pagpunta ko sa LTO. Sacrifice ko muna yung mahimbing na tulog ko. hahaha...

ctpl may or may not be done in the same time slot, depending on location of agent. it does not require vehicle presence.

going to the LTO with all documents, is on another day.

most LTOs have emissions testing centers nearby. ask the tambays there where the nearby one is.
the one i go to, is conveniently near my workplace and far from the LTO. it also costs 50 bucks less than the customary 500 the ones beside the LTO, charge.

    ctpl is widely available.
you will probably spend 200 to 300 bucks more for these, if you patronize the ones near the LTO.
errr... do you need compre insurance as well?

yes, the mvir is a piece of paper that the LTO will give you, which you in turn will give their "authorized" stencil guys that abound in the area.

i go to my LTO after 3 pm. i find the queue shorter at that time. the morning crowd is too uncomfortable for me.
    Hi dr.d,
Do you think this procedure is also doable for cars with late registration (last registered March 2015)?
I'm planning to have my car registration renewed by this month of February and do this same procedure, smoke emission and CTPL on the first day then go to LTO the next day. This is also my first time to go for a vehicle registration.

I think they operate on commission basis sa mga emission ,insurance provider, medical exam etc. yung emission guy ang nag stencil ng auto ko and pinapirma nalang nya dun sa authorized personnel ni LTO. 450 for emission, around 650 for my CTPL (done online), 2130 for registration including penalty, change office registration. no sticker, no plate as usual.
Ilang months/ years na due yung vehicle na ni-renew mo nito?

    Hi dr.d,
Doable kaya sa tsikot ito na late registered (last registered March 2015)?
I'm planning to have my car's registration renewed by this month of February by also doing this same procedure, secure Emission test and CTPL, then go to LTO the next days. I was just worrying that emission testing centers/ CTPL providers won't accept overdue OR/CR?

What's the reasonable rate for emission testing? First-timer here.

the procedure is the same, po.
except for the late registration fines, the other moneys are the same.
google the amount of the late registration fines, po.

the emissions test costs a maximum of 500 bucks. the one i go to, charges 450 bucks, probably because it is far from the LTO and needs to attract customers.

for those who are registering their car for the first time after the initial 3 year registration for brand new cars runs out, you will probably experience the discomfort of finding out that your vehicle's plate number is not yet in the LTO system. the emissions testing facility can't upload your emissions test result. you will have to go to specified LTOs and request them to upload your plate number.
why the LTO has to wait for the car owner to request for it, i do not know.

Just to update. I got my car registration renewed last week. Last registration of the car is March 2015 - 2016. Overall I just had to add 700 penalty fee to the usual registration renewal, costed me around 5.2k overall. Emission test 450, insurance 950, the rest is on the LTO OR.

Sir am I right last registration mo is back in 2015 (Good for 2015-2016) and you just renewed Feb 2018? Technically that's 2 years delayed lang diba? I'm just comparing with mine. Oct 2015 last registered and I'm planning to have it renewed this year (Oct 2018). Assuming yours is a sedan also (civic lancer or corolla) nasa 5.2k lang overall?

    Btw, mine's a '99 Corolla GLi.
