May 9th, 2014 10:18 PM #11Most companies will require you to be a pro to be able to drive their fleet vehicles. Its like driving as part of the job to convey services, goods, etc. so yeah, its like driving for a living.

anytime sir dct, (Y)
sana po this topic thread, may makapag-share ng anu ba talaga ang dapat gawin?! 9 yrs holder for non pro, (at age of 17, nakakuha na po ako ng non-pro license pero natutuo mag-drive at age of 14) through the years, medyo naging vague talaga sa akin yung rule of law about sa license, pero sa insurance policy law...malinaw yung terms and conditions..hehehe

So is there a disadvantage of getting a pro license?
From the way I understand it, a pro license holder can do anything a non-pro license holder can do (assuming they have the same restrictions). But a non-pro cannot drive a vehicle used for commercial purposes (i.e. jeepney, UV express).

(profit)
Exactly Sir jut703,
Hindi po pwede mag-drive ang non-pro sa mga commercial vehicles (yellow plate) kahit walang passenger and travelling from one point to another.. (public road)

I drive an L300 closed aluminum van, gross weight 3200kgs., Isuzu Elf drop-side pick up gross weight 3,800kgs. ( 6wheeler ), and a Mitsubishi Canter aluminum van 4,000kgs. gross weight, all with green plates (Not For Hire) indicated on the vehicles and carry a non-prof. license, got accosted a few times by the enforcers but never got questioned why I did not upgrade to a prof. license.
