If there were really an all new body coming out, then we should be seeing pics of test mules. But so far, none have surfaced, not even concept drawings.

December 10th, 2009 11:05 PM #3752Guys...ask ko lang sana about my 1-week old Fort V,(300kms/odo) is it normal to hear the engine's noise even with all window close? i heard kasi that Fortuner got the most silent diesel engine, pero sa ngayon parang mas maingay pa siya sa ex suv ko(pajero 2.8 FM).
im just quite worried about the "rrrrrr" sound of engine when stepping on the gas pedal until it reach 2nd or 3rd gear before it's gone on the speed of 40-60km/hr..,did you guys experienced these..? never ko pa hinataw Fort ko~70km/hr pa lng max speed so far... TIA

December 11th, 2009 12:01 AM #3753My D-4D used to sound really loud during the break-in period. Now that it has gone over 20,000 kilometers, it's almost as quiet as a gasoline engine provided that I got some music playing in the background. Give it around 5000 kilometers or so and then forget about all the rattles and enjoy the sound of the turbo whistle.
The fortuner 3.0 got the best sounding turbo whistle amongst those I've heard.

yes it should be no prob... a 3.0L fort running at 100km/hr the rpm wont past 2.5k its just around 2k so engine consider not stressed at this speed just avoid to hit your rpm beyond 2.5k at this time until you got your first change oil (1000 kms)...enjoy bro as we enjoy ours

Guys how's the fuel consumption for the 3.0?
Have you noticed any increase in consumption over the years?
Thanks
