last time i did a social visit at my dealership in QC, their '06 RAV4 is practically 'nilalangaw'. Mabenta pa rin daw ang Fortuner. Their sales of Fortuner barely waned. I saw several units na ilalalabas only for the that day.

ahhh the honestly of sales agents indeed who knows who's telling what, if its marketing/sales BS or whatever...

mahal kase talaga ang 06 rav4. fortuner gas or 2.5 is really competitive.

Question po sa mga naka 2.7, ako kc napansin ko lang minsan pag matagal ko d nagamit fortuner ko let's say 3 to 4 days, ang hirap i-kambyo sa reverse kahit naka depress ka na sa brakes. Napapansin ko din na after ko mag-back up palabas ng garahe and move forward na parang may nagrerelease na spring na sound. sino po ang nakaka-experience nito?

Is it more of a tugging sound (like a dull thud), or high pitched spring-like sound? I don't think is has something to do with the variant.

baka ang brakes lang yan. you try not to engage the parking brakes when not using it if it still happens.

you should be happy hearing the sound cause it indicates that your abs is working. the fortuner checks if your abs is working properly everytime you turn on the ignition and this creates a peculiar sound.

Sa totoo lang wala na akong kumpyansa sa Fortuner kahit Toyota pa siya.

Pagbiyaheng Manila to Mindanao tapos choice of Fortuner 3.0 and Alterra 3.0, I'll go for Alterra nalang even thel looks is not as stunning as Fortuner's. Haven't heard any complaints regarding Alterra even our neighbor that has one. Yung neighbor namin na may Fortuner binalik sa Toyota yung unit sa inis.

No offense to Fortuner owner, just my opinion.

Speaking ABS....

There are always times you want to test if the ABS is indeed working, not just by looking a indicator light.

Ako, I tried to use it on some malls like sa Robinson's Galleria pag basa ang floors doon. Very slippery talaga yung driveway papunta sa parking area. Make sure lang na wala tao ang wala ibang sasakyan na malapit.

Parang "kag-kag-kag-kag-kag" ang feeling ng brakes pag activated ang ABS.
