How does the sensor work in your unit? Does it beep along with the back-up beep or did OTIS kill the back-up beeping sound?
Both of them are beeping, but you can tell which is which naman.

Hmmm... In that case, I'll have to see if the back-up sensor unit they'll install has a distinguishable sound from the reverse warning beeps.

By the way, here some other accessories I got for my unit...

3. Rubber Floormats. Great for those muddy and wet shoes this monsoon season.
4. OEM Cargo Mat. In case I've got to stash wet and grimey stuff at the back.

Compared to the Thai 4x4 version, the Philippines 4x4 version does not have the word "intercooler" spelled out on the front grill.

It's a good thing, too! IMO, that "INTERCOOLER" emblem looks absolutely hideous up-close. One of the "O's" is mis-shapen. You'd think that it says "INTERCGOLER".

the dashboard is the same for the hilux and fortuner except for the center console and the passenger side airbags.

TVSS key... It's surprisingly very light. It's so light, that I tend to fumble with it and drop it a lot.

Also attached is a pic of my son giving our new unit a spin... It was fun seeing how he naturally took to holding on to the steering wheel.
Congrats on your new ride Vicoyski! At last you got your unit..hehe.

I got my carpet matting and cargo mat from the dealership (Toyota Shaw-Ortigas). I got the rubber floor mats through a friend who got it from Bionic Auto Seat Covers.

*danbuzz: Thanks! The nightmare is finally over!

Vicoyski,

Congrats on your new ride

How is the sound of the engine and vibration of the D4d? Tumawag kasi sa kin yun dealer and told me marerelease daw next month kung diesel daw kukunin ko.

I previously own a gen2.5 pajero kasi and am bothered by the vibration and sound of engine during traffic.

And how is the acceleration? speed? I read your skyway incident kasi. do you think it can go faster than 140kph?

Comments please...

By the way pag D4d what is your PMS??? every 10k?or every 5k?

Welcome to all owners of Toyota Fortuner [ARCHIVED]
