Gud day mga ka-Revo!
Ask ko lang po.Our revo kc(We bought our M/T 2001 revo SR nung 2012 with odo reading of only 80+++Tkm.Ngaun po eh nasa 97++Tkm na sya.

At ang ex taxi may maliit na H na nakaindicate sa private plate niya indicating that it was once a public utility vehicle. Baka company service vehicle?

February 5th, 2014 06:24 PM #536Sabi mo napalitan na iyong gear oil at iyang rubber seals (which don't really do anything with the actual clutch mechanism) at may issue pa rin. Maybe kapag mainit iyong sasakyan may problema sa clutch linkage like lack of pressure sa clutch fluid? Maybe there are bubbles in the fluid or master/slave cylinders aren't working properly?
It was fixed by replacing the clutch disc, pressure plate.
The clutch disc is really designed to wear out, just like brake pads, kaya niri-replace talaga iyan, pero usually matagal, like 80T km plus, maybe even longer or sooner, depending on driving conditions. Mine was replaced closer to 80T km. But having trouble shifting into gear may be related to the pressure plate also, kaya baka kailangan i-replace din iyon.
"If your transmission cannot be put into gear when the car is running but you can change gears with the engine off, the problem could be with your pressure plate or clutch disk. Your clutch disk should be checked every 15,000 miles (or less if you engage in stop and go, city driving). There is no way to determine if your pressure plate or clutch disk are bad without dismantling the bell housing of the transmission. If you suspect either are worn, it's probably best to replace them."
Maybe you're refering to the clutch fluid level which you can check sa master cylinder sa engine bay behind the dash? Usually doon siya located.

February 5th, 2014 07:28 PM #537Here's a diagram of clutch parts:
The clutch disc has friction material that will enable it to rotate at the same speed as the flywheel which is driven by the car engine. Iyong pressure plate has springs/fingers that will dis-engage or engage the clutch disc when pressed or released. You can check the animation at: HowStuffWorks "Fly Wheels, Clutch Plates and Friction"
For troubleshooting and repairing your transmission/clutch problems, you can go from cheapest to more expensive, sort of like elimination method. Unahin mo muna iyong mas-simple at mas-murang possible problem areas:
1. Change gear oil
3. Check kung gumagana ng tama iyong master and slave cylinder at iyong linkage to the clutch assembly
4. Unfortunately, kung walang nakitang problema or solution with the above "outside" parts, iyong next step is to check the inside of the clutch assembly, kailangan ibaba.
Kung pudpod na iyong clutch disc (which will happen in the life of the car), kailangan i-replace. Maybe it's sticking to the flywheel kaya hindi ma-disengage. If all the other parts are ok, iyong clutch disc lang ang iri-replace. Usually it's best to replace iyong mga related parts sa clutch in one go kaysa hintayin mo masira iyong next part at ibaba ulit iyong assembly.
I'm just giving you ideas what may be needed to be done. Pero kung ok pa iyong master and slave cylinder, meaning the clutch assembly is being engaged and dis-engaged properly when you step on the pedal, hindi bagsak iyong pedal, etc, hindi na kelangan i-replace iyon.
Mine got replaced when my clutch pedal suddenly was slowly going lower and lower until finally hanggang sa floor na siya at hindi ko na maapakan iyong pedal to engage/dis-engage the clutch.
Have good mechanics check your clutch. There are some good videos in YouTube to help you understand pero iyong mechanic ang expert.

February 5th, 2014 09:52 PM #539I was not present when our Revo's clutch disc was replaced at about 81tkms, about 3 years ago. I only bring the car to the mechanic when the clutch seems to be getting low. The mechanic would simply look beneath the dash and adjust it with a wrench.
