1. install iridium sparkplugs.
2. install hurricane or k&n drop-in air filter
3. remove catalytic converters (by-pass gap with 3 inch pipe)
4. make sure to reset ecu by detaching both positive and negative terminals for at least 5 mins. everytime you do one of these steps.

result: from 6 KM/Liter to almost 10KM/Liter city driving and 12KM/Liter on highways...

Meaner engine sound and better throttle response!

Try it!
What do you mean by the term "by-pass gap"?

Was it cut and weld pieces of pipes for the gap for the 2 catalytic converters that was removed?

I already used Iridium plugs but noticed only small gain, not worth the cost of Denso Iridium spark plugs.

I have also used aftermarket high flow air filter, but then you only gain little when using it on high speed driving, downside is your oil gets dirty faster.

I have used Fully synthetic oil 10W30, more quite engine but not much gain of FC.

Today, I'm back to normal copper plugs, mineral oil, OEM air filter and still getting 9-10Km/li

Engine: all Stock
Wheels & Tire: upgraded to 215/55/17

I think normal yang FC mo since Pasay to Makati madaming traffic lights and slow moving streets, baka bihira kang maka 4rth gear sa route mo. Malakas ang FC when most of the time you are accelerating from stops.

I have good FC since I do 80Kms per day and less traffic lights to deal with.

hope someone can help. thanks in advance.
Eto yung pics.

Tinangal ko lang yung screw then pushed the bumper back starting from tail-light up to the wheel well. Ano extent ng damage.

I meant replace with plain 3" tubes when i said "By pass". If your aftermarket filter was K&N, the sediments of the air filter-oil was the culprit in making your engine oil dirty. Use hurricane which is made of stainless mesh. Always use genuine toyota oil because other oils tend to affect the performance of hydrolifters of the engine (this applies to all hydrolifted toyota engines). Always reset the ECU so that the system will adapt the new set up.

Aside from casa po, baka may recommended shop kayo where I could get this for a reasonable price.

Thanks!
