March 8th, 2005 12:42 PM #71I would highly recommend the innova....parang gas kung humataw yung diesel...and minsan makakalimutan mo na diesel pala dala mo kasi medyo quiet yung engine. maganda yung ride nya....parang kotse na...hindi bouncy ang ride unlike the fx. maganda pa yung dashboard. quite elegant for its class.
I have a brother who has a crosswind. after driving my innova , inggit na inggit sya baka ibenta nya crosswind hehehe

How about the rear suspension? Since it doesn't use leaf springs will it buttom out easily if you carry heavy loads?

I noticed that people who are used to driving cars when given the chance to drive a diesel they have the bad habit of squeezing the gas too much.
If it is a civic parang pinaabot mo palagi ang 1st gear sa 40kph while 2nd gear parang 70kph.
Ease up on the gas let the automatic transmission switch from lower gears to higher gears at 2000-2500rpm. Ung iba ginagawa dahil naiinip binibirit ung gas pedal. Remember you bought a diesel talagang pasensya ang kailangan nyo.
Kung ako tatanongin nyo 1st gear 15kph 2nd gear 30kph 3rd 45kph 4th 55kph then 5th. Try it youll see the difference.

saw the Innova this afternoon up-close. some of my observations:
medyo masikip nga yun 3rd row seats.
yung clearance ng rear wheels sa wheelwell, more than double ng sa harap. medyo pangit tingnan.
also, for manual transmissions, the clutch and the brakes share the same brake fluid reservoir.
Signature

Pakana lang ng CASA yung you can extend your interval if you use synth. They are trying to justify the price kasi.
Pero if you change your oil every 5k, ok na ang mineral based.
Even in the daily grind of traffic, mineral-based oils will hold up pretty well.

March 8th, 2005 11:08 PM #79bros, got my second reading na, 9.8km/L., combination of slight traffic and e-ways. ganda nga tumakbo, but I limit my speed to 80km/h muna. Baka kasi di ma break-in ng maiigi. Had the undercoat done in shell with 3M. Suspension is great at 4 adults and 2 kids.
