Hello, my altis is turning 3 years old at the end of december. It will hit 20k km around this time too. For the previous PMS, I have always had it serviced in toyota otis. During the last check up, the SA told me that the aircon is due for cleaning at 20k. I saw that they did this cleaning without disassembly of the dashboard and cost almost 5k. Would this be better than me taking the car to Denso to be have the standard aircon cleaning?

A/C Cleaning without disassembly of the dash would be better, as there would be lesser risk of the dashboard being misaligned and not being re installed properly. A broken clip or a missing screw would lead to rattles

Have you tried the ac cleaning service done by the casa? Or do you recommend an outside shop?

    you dont need it YET.
kung malinis or palit lagi ang AC filter, baka abot ng 200k km yan without the need for cleaning eh
sample lang yun gen 10 ko, 76k km no signs pa ng need maglinis ng AC

*ninjababez and dr.d- thanks! I will not have the ac cleaned during my next PMS. For the filter, i just see the casa technicians blow it with compressed air. Have you tried the filters sold outside of the casa? I asked the casa last time and i was told the toyota filter costs something like 1200. Laki din ng difference ng non toyota at around 400 only. Maybe i can just buy the non-toyota filters and replace it often
