so who handed over the cash, who bought the car (had the sales documents), and who drove away in it?
strange..
we had similar experience.. a "spotter" arrived, and later on a "latecomer", who handed over the cash and drove the car away. then the spotter demanded from us her cut. sabi namin, "dun ka humingi sa nagmaneho ng kotse pa-alis".
i think it was a gimmick to get more money from us..

November 20th, 2015 05:49 AM #3822They all showed up at the same time. The couple spoke to my dad inside, handed over the cash, while the other two smoked outside. Yung isa on the phone. After the deal, the couple left with our car and binigyan na yung dalawa. Yung dalawa di rin daw magkasama talaga. Not sure how that works LOL

Roughly the same. My purchase price for my Mazda 3 wasn't that far from what the seller posted on OLX. Mine was just 10k lower than OLX-price though he did promise to replace the transmission if it needed replacement (it did, and he replaced it).
Not sure how others haggle with OLX sellers but I doubt it's far off from the posted price unless the posted price is ridiculously high.

Thanks po sa lahat ng sumagot at kahit sa mga nag-follow up questions din.
At least now I have an idea on what to expect. Me mga nakikita rin ako 2013 1.6V almost 580-620k range. I can stretch my budget naman as long as I know I'm getting a fair price. Baka sa holiday break na ako mag-seryoso in my hunt though. Browsing lang muna to get a feel of the market.
Hmmm... yan siguro kaya me mga naka-indicate minsan sa post na "No 2nd Hand Dealers" yata yun. I was always wondering kung bakit naman if kaya naman ibigay nung dealer yung price mo at di ka masyadong babaratin.Last edited by gearhead000; November 20th, 2015 at 12:43 PM.

with a budget of 620K, you can get a brand new vios J ! unless, you really want the extra space of the altis..
magwalis ka sa bahay for the extra 10K.
then, there's the up-coming almera 1.2 for 630K. touted as having huge rear passenger space... and easier ingress and eggress.. (yup! tried 'em.)
merry christmas!

I'd take a used Altis any day over a brand new Vios or Almera. [emoji4]

personally, i wouldn't mind a used car. i'm not afraid of 'em. we grew up with very used cars.
but if it were for my boy, i'd get a new car.. for the obvious warranty and insurance issues.
many people today are deathly afraid of buying used cars... because they know next to nothing about cars.Last edited by dr. d; November 20th, 2015 at 07:03 PM.
