March 25th, 2011 04:59 PM #1042Have 2005 Hi Ace Grandia GL currently with 21781 kms. Experience hard starting even with engine warm. It starts then after few second the engine dies. had to give some gas to start without dying. Took it to Toyota North Edsa, they replaced the suction control valve.

IMHO try Gassing up in newer, well maintained stations in Metro Manila... some stations in the provinces have lower rated diesels since majority of their clients are jeepneys and trucks...

I have a 2005 fortuner V variant.. so far wala pa naman problem i just go to casa and service my fort regularly..

Our friend's Oct2009-acquired Fortuner D4D A/T experienced the infamous choking problem a few weeks ago.... More than a week ang sasakyan sa Toyota Alabang bago niya nakuha ulit, after ito hinila... Lahat na ng dahilan,- sinabi ng Toyota. Akala siguro nila bopol ang may-ari ng sasakyan.....
So, hindi pa rin nawawala ang problema... Malas lang kung natsambahan mo....
