There was a guy in the Fortuner Group on FB complaining... 10k PMS at 16k pesos.

They sold the sucker everything under the sun... including a tranny flush and injector cleaning, I think.

Big effin' ripoff.

It pays to know what is needed and what isn't. Then tell them politely but firmly to stick to the basics.

Transmission flush for just 10k PMS? You're supposed to simply drain and fill it after every 4 years or 40k PSM without the need of flushing. Some dealerships are really after the money.

They almost always also offer me injector cleaning every PMS to eliminate carbon deposits. Isn't it that the fuel we get from the big oil companies already has detergents especially Caltex with Techron that does just exactly the same thing?
