September 15th, 2006 01:29 AM #12Damn those idiots that keep putting the spare tire under the vehicle (and in harm's way). At least they give Kaymar and Slee a source of livelihood. hehehe.
pero if ur a 4x4 fanatic then yes hassle sa baba ksi lagi tatamaan
i wanted to convert our lc120 na may tire sa likod to the one without the tire at the back para maging GX470 look a like. haha pero you have to change the whole rear door pa.

Looks like an LC to me... and it looks like the front suspension will continue sans the solid axles...

hehehe! thought about it, too, kyle. mas malinis tignan. nga lang, parang mas maliit tignan yung LC120 pag wala sa likod yung spare tire. as to the LC, since it has an already bigger and wider body, looks-wise, ok lang kung sa ilalim nakalagay yung spare tire. but as pointed out, for hardcore offroaders, it's a bad idea.

In Australia they put the spare tire underneath to cut costs. Having the spare tire underneath means you are not required to put bumper-mounted taillamps anymore.
You don't really have to be hardcore to appreciate the tailgate mounted spare.
Try checking the tire pressure of an underbody spare on a regular basis and you'll have an idea.

heheh... but if i have a Land Cruiser, i would get the one with a spare mounted underneath and modify my tailgate to accomodate another spare!
i think in order to survive rocky trails and jungles, you need to have more than one spare...
