September 23rd, 2010 02:06 AM #332Wow a nice development talaga finally the Trains are back. Hopefully I could get to ride on that long route..Sir any news if ever ba na i-revive din ang Batangas-Manila route? I ask kase seems the old PNR track now are all inhabited na by residents..I call them residents kase sabi nila the govt had given away na daw sa kanila ang rights.

Yes, the trains are slowly being brought back to life. Baka sa November, meron nang Manila - Calamba Commuter Train Service na ulit.
Batangas branch line will definitely be revived as PNR plans to extend this to the Batangas International Port Terminal.

It's nice to know that the railway system will be utilized again. Just maintain the clearing of the tracks of "informal settlers." They used the old trains as mobile trash basins, rendering the system unfit for civilian use. The railway system is more efficient if operated and taken care of properly.
