Question: On VTEC engines that have cam overlap between the intake cam and exhaust cam, this means that during the overlap, both intake valve and exhaust valve are open. So, during intake stroke, does this mean that exhaust gasses are sucked back in. Or, during exhaust stroke, will exhaust gasses find their way to the intake?

the overlap starts to occur at the end of exhaust stroke, when the piston is nearing the top dead center position ... before reaching tdc, the intake valve opens, while the exhaust valve is still open but starting to close ... this only happens at high rpm to ensure that when intake stroke stroke starts, the intake valve is already fully open for maximum intake flow

mga master question po, nabaha yung kotse ko and nasira ecu, hirap maghanap ng ecu ng 1998 nissan sentra ex saloon ko.now i was considering yung nakita ko na ecu ng 1999 gts.

ang engine ko ay ga14 then yung nakita kong ecu eh para sa ga16 bale ang difference nila is 1.4 yung sa kin at 1.6 yung ga16 and automatic tranny yung ga16 and manual tranny yung ga14 ko.

uubra kayang mag normalize yung ga14 ko sa ecu ng ga16.
