April 23rd, 2018 10:28 AM #1012Currently maintaining 35 psi on all tires.
I noticed a slight effect on consumption when I lowered to the recommended range. The tires were inflated to 42psi when my Vitara came out of the dealer. I was doing around 11 km/L in the early days. It went down to the high 10s when I set the tires to 38psi, and then I'm now typically in the 10-10.5 range at 35psi. I've charted my fuel consumption statistics on this thread, just backread to see the history.
I don't really think the effect is significant when you go down to the recommended pressure. Usage is more important. I typically drive alone on weekdays when I bring the Vitara to work (Alabang to Makati and back); there are typically 3-5 passengers on weekend trips.
Very short trips will really hurt fuel economy more than the air on the tires. On weekends, I make a number of trips less than three kilometers. I also take a lot of village roads to avoid traffic and that has an impact on fuel economy too (movement along village roads is slower and there are lots of stops).
Another factor is the traffic you face on your usual routes. That said, my latest FC figure is 9.5 km/L, 16kph average speed, 219.2 kms travelled, 35psi on the tires, fuel is Caltex Silver.
The other Saturday afternoon, I got stuck is crawling traffic along southbound SLEX. It took two hours from Villamor to Sucat exit, and that really hurt my fuel economy.

April 23rd, 2018 10:34 AM #1013I've noticed that grip is better at 35psi than when higher. Comfort doesn't seem to be affected, as my wife hasn't complained about ride comfort since we got the Vitara.
Fuel economy will be better at higher PSIs, but be prepared for the tires to wear out faster. The ride might also become harsher.
See this page for a little more about possible effects: here.

April 24th, 2018 03:44 AM #1015Hi!
Initially I asked regarding the infotainment system of the GLX if it was a genuine android experience and was replied that it was, almost tablet-like as it was said. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any other info about it further anywhere else.
So just making sure, given that prolly there are more GLX owners now, does it still hold true?
Specifically, that there is Play Store and you can download essential apps like Waze, Spotify, Youtube, Twitch and Telegram?
Thanks!
