May 30th, 2015 10:43 AM #13Sa carmudi, 60%-63% ang resale value ng Swift for 2012 cars (3 yr old).
Thats actually above average resale value. Normally 50% for 3 yr old cars.

May 30th, 2015 12:04 PM #14All cars are valued at insurance graded assessment. An average of 10% depreciation is the current valuation for each year of aging. What makes a certain car brand or model retain its nearest original value or double in time is it's record of reliability, exotic features and cult following. You'd be surprised how some SUV's like the LAND ROVER are regarded as ordinary workhorses in some parts of the globe while here in the Philippines they are often regarded as "royal carriages". Suzuki cars and SUV are no different from their contemporaries. With a large car manufacturing market especially that the Koreans and the Chinese have started to churn their own, made the market prices of vehicles more affordable and our choices more varied. Thus, prices of vehicles in general are now low and affordable plus the vehicle features are improved to stay solid in the market. You don't buy a brand new car for its resale value, you buy it because it is a necessity or sometimes a reward to yourself. The after market value is a blessing or an unfortunate assessment in the future whether you are buying or selling. That's the reality of owning a car.
