Im now seeing more of this on the road.
The car looks classy enough especially in black. Wonder why suzuki is not marketing this heavily.

October 11th, 2016 07:09 PM #93We're eyeing Ciaz as our first car. Ok ba ang Suzuki? I mean after sales? As this will be our first car (probably the last), ok kaya ang Suzuki pag labas na ng casa? Will it be a good idea to get a Suzuki car in the first place?
I have zero knowledge about cars. Ang alam ko lang, Toyota and Honda ang subok na brands na. Pero the wife doesn't want the Vios (very common) and Honda City E (base model) is just too bare. Nagustuhan namin ng wife ko sa Ciaz yung space sa backseat at compartment, sobrang spacious. The inside also feels much more "premium" than the Vios E and Honda City E.

matagal tagal na rin ang Suzuki dito and there are plenty of auto supply and surplus shops that carry the brand. the ciaz shares practically the same engine as the ertiga na medyo marami na rin sa daan. worst case, you can always shop online.
yung sa tibay, of course there will always be problems pero malaking factor din ang pag gamit at maintain. i can't vouch personally kasi 1st time ko rin magka suzuki (ertiga) pero so far, after almost 2yrs, wala namang issue. pero if sales is an indication of trust, just observe na there are lots of swifts, APVs, ertigas and jimnys around.
aftersales? depende sa casa. I've tried pasig, east ave and commonwealth at ok naman sila. i've read na ok rin ang shaw.
since it's your 1st car, better assess your needs, test drive all options and do research on history and issues. yung ciaz less than 2 yrs palang ata sa market so medyo wala pang history pero i plan to get this also hopefully in 1-2 year's time. i'm not brand conscious though medyo may alam naman ako sa auto. my 1st brand new car was a mazda familia and it served me well for 9 yrs.
good luck!

October 12th, 2016 09:57 PM #95Thanks for the inputs coiter. Medyo hindi pa kasi ako sanay mag drive (student permit pa lang with 7hrs of driving lesson) kaya natatakot ako mag test drive baka ma disgrasya. Anyway, we have two weeks to decide which car to get and mukhang sa Ciaz na talaga papunta.
The car will mostly be used driving from home to the office which is about 25km (Valenzuela to Pasay) so fuel efficiency is the main concern and I've heard that Ciaz is good in this department. Possibly at par with the Honda City E.

Maybe better to consider a Suzuki Celerio or Toyota Wigo as your first car, they're cheaper ...

Personally, I would rather not buy a vehicle model that is newly released.
We bought a Ford Fiesta in 2011 on the basis of the good reviews that it had in other markets. In 2013, when the warranty was about to expire, that was when we first experienced the infamous "transmission malfunction" problems of the DCT Fiesta.
Not saying that there will be major flaws in the Ciaz, but I'd rather wait three years before buying than be a guinea pig for the car company again.
As expected, in response to Tesla’s entry into the Philippines market, Ford will be bringing in the...
