November 27th, 2015 11:04 AM #13before them new-fangled alignment machines became available..
we did it using strings, tape measure or metal rule, and carpenter's level.
..pretty good results, if tire wear patterns are to be believed..
alignment is easier now, because of them gadgets.
but never let it be said, that using strings and levels, is akin to hitting the bullseye while shooting from the hip in the dark.
we were doing precisely that, before. all it takes, is practice and patience. sir.

November 27th, 2015 11:38 AM #15many modern vehicles have convenient camber adjust ability.. ikot lang ng turnilyo..
there are some vehicles that do not have this convenient camber adjust.
kinikikil, linalagyan ng shims siguro, o pinupukpok..
then there are those, usually the back wheels, where no camber adjustment is possible at all. replacement lang..
errr... what's your car in question, po?

November 27th, 2015 12:03 PM #16Ganyan nga ang gagawin nila pag MacPherson strut na walang camber adjustment bolt. My own opinion: tama ang camber setting nyan when new, apparently nag karoon ng clearance somewhere sa suspension arm or position ng strut (e.g. shock absorber mounting) kaya nawala sa correct camber.
