some older cars are a combination of disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear. the rear brakes accumulate brake dust over time. this dust absorb moisture and cause the morning symptom until the brake drums warm up. everytime the front brakes are serviced, these drum brakes also need attention, i.e., cleaning and inspection.

November 28th, 2023 01:23 PM #402Just found out that Brembo aftermarket products are blatantly lying to the market not only for the friction compound of their brake pads but also they have 2 layers of different quality friction material sa brake pads nila.
1st Brembo aftermarket brake pads have 10% steel compound which by industry standards are no longer considered ceramic, they are called LOW-METALLIC brake pads by the friction material industry. That is why sobrang maalikabok, maingay and malakas mag wear out ng rotor discs ang Brembo aftermarket brake pads is dahil hindi sila ceramic but they are a low-metallic brake pads by nature of their compound. Last but not the least it is the reason why the aftermarket brake pads wears rotor discs x10 more than genuine/original brake pads.
2nd Brembo aftermarket brake pads have TWO DIFFERENT LAYERS of FRICTION MATERIAL, half 1st layer is the somewhat good quality friction material pero pag abot mo na sa second layer ng friction materials ng Brembo aftermarket brake pads doon na yung low quality way below industry standard na friction formula na compound kaya pag abot mo sa 2nd layer doon na yung napaka laking performance difference sa braking power, brake pads wear and etc...
3rd they are also using several impure materials sa brake pads friction compound nila which are causing inconsistencies sa quality ng brake pads during every production.
Be wary of their advertising ploys, there are several reasons behind why their aftermarket brake pad products are way too cheap even cheaper than Bendix and other well known brands. Brembo is 100% outsourcing their aftermarket brake pad products from several China manufacturers, then nirerebadge lang to Brembo brand and logo.

Drop some links and independent studies where those assertions were based on. They're one of the big names in brake assemblies and friction materials and I don't think they would sully their brand name over provably questionable business practices.
I imagine marami din fake and "class A" counterfeits, so maybe the competitor who made that comparison used those instead.

November 28th, 2023 04:32 PM #404Why would another competitor use class A counterfeit products for comparison which it will not release accurate comparisons of the said reputable brands, authorized products can be easily purchased from authorized distributors and dealers from their website. Chaka those who make imitation products would rather make fake products of Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan and etc... rather than copy low price aftermarket products. Since those sellers have an easier time selling fake Toyota products compared sa aftermarket brands asides sa mas easier for them to sell mas mataas pa profit na pwede nilang ilagay sa mga fake Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Honda and other original car brands na parts. Kaya mas majority lumalaganap na fake parts ay yung mga original car manufacturer brands. Also magsasayang lang sila ng oras to use a fake product for testing purposes tapos madedebunk din ang claims nila in the end, mas better siguro sa long term plan to just release the true information instead of myopic reasons na competitors will use an imitation para lang mag prove ng something that will harm them in the short term, mawawalan pa sila ng integrity if they show false results.
They are one of the biggest pero they do not in any way manufacture their own brake pads as per checking sa website mismo ng Brembo Italy, ALL OF THEIR FACTORIES mentioning only producing disc brake calipers and other hydraulic braking metal parts, but brake pads zero. They just outsourced their aftermarket brake pads from China. Not one Brembo factory produces any friction products, even their originally supplied brake pads sa car manufacturers are not manufactured by them, they just supply the whole brake system(disc caliper, brake pads, rotor discs & brake hose as a whole set) to the car manufacturers.
What their China aftermarket division plans and execute does not mean the same as what you think they will do or not do. This the proof that Brembo had outsourced all of their aftermarket brake pads from other brake pad companies in China.
Also if mapapansin din na sobrang mura ng Brembo, even way lower pa prices niya sa brands like Bendix.

Ah, you're correct that they do not manufacture the pads themselves. They do get them from different 3rd parties like SBS. I'm thinking maybe products sold in Asia uses pads sourced from China. NA market from Mexico, and Europeans from Germany or Italy. Just a guess.

Hahaha

November 28th, 2023 08:03 PM #407Magkano ba ang bendix?
Yung nabili kong brembo brake pads for Isuzu Mux ay nasa ~P9,000 (~P4,500 harap at ~P4,500 likod). This year lang yun.
